For users just finding the Alloy System, Accent Caps and Bands are often a second stop for modification. While the design requires a little more planning, they remain a simple mod designed to work seamlessly with Nexus/LGT and TXQ modular lightsaber components. Accent Caps and Bands were designed to provide greater depth and drama to a lightsabers grip, however inspired users may find users near the emitter, switch section, and or even building a custom pommel space. Pictured below is a more complex design utilizing some of our Adapters, but illustrates the depth possible with the accent line!
Beyond looks, Accent Caps and Bands can also improve the balance, and handling of your saber. These enhancements aren’t just for show—they offer additional counterbalance weight that comes in handy for spinning and showmanship. They also impart a comfortable heft to the saber that really helps it to feel in universe.
Parts Integration
Installing Accents Caps and Bands are quite simple and work exactly like Accent Rings, except a little wider! They are fully compatible with Nexus/LGT systems and require no modifications or specialized tools. Our unique shimsert design slips this upgrade onto your lightsaber in seconds! In just a few steps, you can turn a basic hilt into a unique piece of craftsmanship:
- Unscrew the hilt components onto which you will install the Accent Ring.
- Slide the Accent Ring onto the part so that the shimsert is seated
- Screw your hilt components back together!
The shims add only .5mm of length and 'clock' your saber parts approximately 180 degrees.
